It has worked without fault for 4 months and then all of a sudden started a couple of weeks ago. Everything else streams fine, I get about 300 download speed. They offered to replace my Glass with a refurb, but I said no. I have a month from now to see if it fixes itself.

Just about to cancel mine as I'm fed up paying for a brick to sit in my front room and 3 pucks as coffee cup holders as basically that all they are fit for at this moment in time

This is getting worse, live streaming is starting to fail channel 5, and some others

@maxbarn
I would not bother, I have tried 3 routers, a 4g, 5g huawei and a 5g Zte it is not your router it is 3 or sky "handshake" one is not talking to the other.

A VPN might actually solve the issue actually if it's a routing issue depends what the issue exactly is between 3 and Sky.

Problem is that this is a work around at a cost to us , not a solution really is it . And how do you add a vpn to a Zte801a

Not saying it's a good option but I wouldn't discount it as a solution that would work either. Sky are investigating the issue so hopefully 3 Customers won't have to use a VPN soon.
And I'm not sure as I don't use one.

Doing this for me all the time.
And it's not my internet speed!

Can anyone tell me what vpn they use for 3 to get around this.

The trouble with relying on a VPN for streaming live TV for hours is that the quality of the connection usually degrades after a while, resulting in slower speeds. I have tried many VPN's over the years and I currently have a paid subscription with NordVPN but found them to be the same. Disconnect and connect to another server will get you back up and running again but what a pain!

Find out moreI use surfshark on my firestick - there's third party routers you can buy where you can enter the vpn details directly into the router - or there's WiFi extenders you can plug into your router to create a secondary WiFi network with built in vpns so that you can connect some devices to the vpn network. Not tried myself but been meaning to give it a go soon

Hi,
I know this is slightly unrelated as I don't have Glass (yet), however I do have Sky Plus with a Three 5g broadband connection and my On Demand has suddenly stopped working. Having been through all the suggested fixes and spending time with Sky Tech support (wanted me to do a full system rebuild) I've come to the conclusion that the issue is the connectivity between Sky and Three.
