@AnonymousMine does, but the information comes from the internet not the Sky box etc etc

Re: Issues after latest Software update

@Anonymous  Sounds like it could be an internet connectivity issue. If your q box is using WiFi to the router that could be killing your network. Have you tried powering down the router and seeing if the banner info is ok. Make sure your tv is connected to the router.

Re: Issues after latest Software update

@Anonymous Is this message stopping you watch input from any source? As per @GD1 I would be inclined to say it's the TV if you are seeing it on all source inputs.

For reference my Panasonic VT60 only displays the Source and nothing else, so I'm assuming this is a function of a particular manufacturer?

Re: Issues after latest Software update

@davemjj1974 I would be inclined to agree with @cewuk I have never managed to get the Sky mesh network to function, partly because of the construction of my property and partly because the Sky Wi-Fi has never seemed very resilient. So I am connected to my router via direct cable (where possible) or powerline (in my case Devolo), and this, although not officially supported by Sky, seems to work fine 99% of the time. 😊

@grog+arsonYes that is why I asked for make and model, my Sony displays the time top right of the screen but it comes from the internet. Some TVs get the time signal from a broadcast signal Freeview/Freesat etc.

Re: Issues after latest Software update

It's not just the time signal displayed though it's all the information about the source being displayed ie BSkyB, 3840x2160 Input Signal Plus, UHD, No Time Information.

I shall try reconnecting the network/restarting the router as @CyberFriday suggests. But not while I'm watching the golf! 😄

@AnonymousLook at page 115 onwards in the manual

"When watching TV by connecting a cable box or satellite box to the HDMI or Component port, you must set the current time manually"

Also have you downloaded the latest updates for your  TV

@Anonymous  Maybe coincidence, no one has ever reported this happening to their TV when Sky Q updated, so as advised it's not a Sky Q issue, rather your TV.  Have you reset the time on your TV?  Does it now display the time correctly?

Hi all,

Just checking in to see if anyone else has had issues since the latest software update was rolled out. I got the latest one, Q170.000.23.00L, earlier today and so far today my box has frozen 4 times! I reset settings on it about 3 hours ago, and it's done it again.

Anyone else having issues? I'm going to keep my eye on it tonight and see if it behaves and may call Sky tomorrow

I calledSky earlier today about my mini box and was told that the frmware is at Q160 because of some bugs in the Q170 firmware and V1 boxes. My V3 Sky Q box is running Q170 with no problems that I can see.

@LGUserIt depends on the version of the box whether you can use Q170 or not at the moment.

Just leave it and it will all sort itself out.

The mini works fine with Q160. So when Q170 is ready, it will be sent to the mini. For now, Q170 is on the main box and working well.

@LGUser as far as we have been told the roll back to Q16 only applies to a specific 2TB main Q box if your main box is still on Q17 but your Q minis are on Q16 you should update them which should be possible by gooing to Settings/System info and going tomthe right of the software version line.

Re: Issues after latest Software update

I have tried to update the mini three times. The third was to double check before calling Sky. The person I spoke to said that it's a known issue with some older boxes and when Q170 is fixed for theolder boxes, my mini will be updated.

If I was having a problem with having Q160, I would have requested a replacement mini. But the mini is working without a problem.
