Re: Issues after latest Software update
The engineer who visited and disabled 2.4GHZ on the system also said if problems continued to use 100select settings back door to move the 5GHZ to channel 44 away from the Mesh network. That did not make any difference at all.
The mini's lose the TV signal regardless of channel 36, 40 or 44.
Interesting that you lose signal with hardwired Mini boxes, as that was his next suggestion, which it seems still won't fix the problems.

Re: Issues after latest Software update
Hard to say if the issue is with the mini, main box or hub.
I'll let you know if a powerline adapter and 2.4ghz turned off on the main box helps any.
Mini is connected directly to the hub with a long ethernet cable but don't have that option with the main box.

Re: Issues after latest Software update
It's shocking that there hasn't been a product recall on these boxes. It's obvious there is a major issue with the WiFi implementation. My Sky Q box crashed multiple times per day over a couple of years. Multiple engineer visits, dish/cable/box replacements etc failed to solve the issue.
In desperation I hardwired the main and mini boxes (via Powerline) and turned off the WiFi in engineering menu. Since then no crashes at all. Seems this issue is fairly widespread.

Re: Issues after latest Software update
NB: Over this time I also changed ISP and router with no improvement until boxes were hardwired.

Re: Issues after latest Software update
What is the speed of your powerline to have a stable picture? I can get 80-100 mbps via the Deco mesh to the ethernet port, I wonder if hardwiring the mini to the deco mesh would help? Anybody know what the sustained data rate required from the main box to the mini is?

Re: Issues after latest Software update
Given that these mini bixes are losing the WiFi, it's possible the signalfrom the main box is not strong/stable enough. It's possible a booster may be needed. Call Sky and book an appointment to get a booster installed.
When I had Sky installed here, the Mini was seeming to work. Enginner measured the signal and said it was not strong enough and installed a booster. I have not had a problem with the mini. No breaking up and no dropping.
