We received a flyer by post promoting a 'Sky Essentials with a Sky Q Box at £25 per month. I telephoned towards the end of week commencing 9th August and spoke to a young man called Robin (who came from the North East). After testing my line he said I would need Superfast Fibre Broadband, which meant that the price would be £32 pcm. Because it had taken me so long to get through I had to leave for an appointment, at which point we agreed that Robin would ring me back at 4.0pm. I waited by the phone ahead of that time but the call never came. However, I am still interested in taking this arrangement forward.

You'll need to call Sky. This is just a forum rather than Sky customer services.
(You don't have to have Sky broadband to have Sky Q, by the way...)

That's somewhat confusing, because part of the point of 'Essentials' is that it uses ADSL rather than FTTC in order to meet the quoted £25 price point. Also interesting that Sky are now offering Q boxes as Freesat receivers.

I was thinking the same. It sounds as though @brockbadger is being offered a more mainstream deal.

@Mark39 @TimmyBGood Yeah I agree with you both, seems odd for q as freesat receivers
might be worth seeking clarity from sky for future reference , which I'll do now

Well, they are going to run out of Plus boxes eventually ; )
There's a reference in another non-Sky forum to the same advertising leaflet, so it does seem to be circulating.
