Old or not, with respect, there have been numerous mentions on this (even the last couple of pages) on how to find out the info on your box. Here it is again, hit the 'services' button on your Sky remote, then navigate right to 'details', this will then tell you all the info you need. the 'model number' should end in 10.00P. If not, you need to manually update you box to force it to get the latest software release. This will NOT wipe anything currently you have in your recordings planner.
To update, scroll back a few posts and follow the instructions. (Basically, remove power from box, then hold down the 'backup' button ON the box (not remote) then power up - keep button pressed all the time, don't release even for a second, till all 4 lights are lit on front display, upwards of about 30 seconds. When all lights are lit, let go of button and let box do it's magic, about 10 minutes...)
If this is beyond your caoability, as already suggested, maybe you need the help of a friend to pop round...

Well that's today's patronising quota ticked off. Somewhat ironic after asking for people to show consideration!

If your sky box has not updated to the latest software you'll have to do it manually

Thanks to everyone who has let us know they’ve received the update to their boxes. We’re aware that a small number of customers haven’t received the fix so we will continue to send automatic updates over the weekend. If your box hasn’t been updated please leave it turned on at the mains (it can be in normal standby).

Think you may be best to force the software update manually
Unplug the box and then reconnect to power whilst holding down the backup button on the too of the box and keep holding the button until 4 lights on the front panel are illuminated your box will now do the rest itself but be aware this could take anything upto 20 minutes and when complete power up the box and everything should be ok

See Sam-R's post of a few minutes ago. Sky will be sending the update which contains the fix for the clock problem again over the weekend. All you need to do is make sure your Sky box is not turned off at the plug overnight. Leaving it in standby is fine. The update arrives at around 2.10 in the morning and is automatically applied to your Sk box.

If your not able to follwo the instructions as per previous posts then you can wait for the box to update on it's own as they updates are still being sent. Ensure you leave your box switched on in Standby.
Other than that if you can't do what the instructions posted suggest there is little the forum can do.

At the top of this page (54) I drafted detailed instructions on how to force a manual software download. It was followed by 5 further posts replicating same advice - is it any wonder the tone was 'patronising'?? Some people obviously need a 'father' figure in their life... 😂😂😂

As of this morning, 6th November, my clock has still not been updated. Am I:the only one, . I'd be grateful to hear if anyone else, also still has this problem. It's more of a nuisance, than anything, but as I pay for sky, I would like a decent service e

Alternatively you can manually update it yourself at any time, as described here: https://www.sky.com/help/diagnostics/updating-sky-box/updating-software-sky-plus-hd
