splitting sky tv and broadband accounts

Hi, as you can all appreciate, the chat isn't the best and speaking to someone is frustrating as they now just follow a script so little better than the virtual assistant.

i currently am out of contract and resent fixing for two years. however does anyone know if i can just fix a contract on the broadband element alone? TIA

@mlc100  yes you can whilst both are shown on the same account they are independent of each other contract wise

Re: splitting sky tv and broadband accounts

Thanks for that. i called them back and basically i can't get any deal on broadband. am on superfast and they don't have fibre in my area. bit frustrating as they are charging an inflated price for the ultra fast when the fibre is almost half the price for more speed. the only other fastest in my area is VM and i moved from them to Sky as the service was dreadful.

At least this chap was reasonably helpful and i reduced costs on Netflix and will road test whether or not to reinstate UHD as we have a new 4K TV.

Do what i did, ring sky and ask to speak  to the retention team, i have gigafast broadband  with sky and instead  of paying  £59 month i got a 24 month  contract  through  them at £43 a month

Re: splitting sky tv and broadband accounts

i think the problem is that i can't get anything faster than what i already have. however retentions might be able to reduce the current cost so i will give it a go.

That why I phoned  them so i could  get my bill reduced, also got my sky steam bill reduced  for 2 years aswell  should be £103 a month  but now my new 2year contract  is £70 a month for my steam package, altogether  i should be paying  £162 a month for both broadband  and stream but i am paying £113  a month broadband  and stream thanks to the retention  team
