Sky tv bill

I had my sky glass tv bill due on the 24th it was £120.17 this month I paid £60 on the 24th November then I paid the rest £60.17 on the 28th November 4 days later. When I look at my bill it says that "account balance credit £120.17"

@CH20023  If you have a continuous payment method such as a direct debit setup the full amount would have been requested by sky automatically four working days before the 24th

so the amount you have paid manually will go against the bill on 24th December

Did Sky also take £120.17 from you in one payment via your usual payment method, if so the reason you are seeing a credit is because of those two payments that you made that you didn't have to.

Re: Sky tv bill

I don't have direct debit or anything when I get paid I have it where I put my card details in each time I need to pay my bill. I don't understand i didn't have a problem last month, I paid £5 one day then I paid the rest on 24th October so am not sure why it is saying what i stated in my original post

Re: Sky tv bill

When I go on my bill it says £60 via manual payment on 24th then £60.17 via manual payment on the 28th which is £120.17 but it also says on the 24th £120.17 via credit card ? My card isn't a credit card it's a direct debit card.

I think it means it was taken by a card payment so a debit or credit card.

It looks like Sky might have taken the payment for the bill from your debit card.

Re: Sky tv bill

I don’t get how I thought I thought they could only do that with a card that's been saved. So the £120.17 I paid for this months bill have I actually paid that because it's going to annoy me if the full amount is going towards my next bill because this months is the only one that was so high.

Sky can use any card details you may have given them in the past. You should have a direct debit or monthly card payment set up as is required in your Sky contract.

It is part of the terms and conditions that we must have a payment method setup otherwise Sky are free to take the payment from any payment method that have on file for you which is what they appeared to have done here.

Regarding the credit, you can leave it so it is used to pay next months bill or if you prefer we can contact the messaging team who will be in contact via here tomorrow about getting it refunded to you so let us know if you would like this.

@CH20023

To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who should be in touch with you sometime tomorrow morning regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page.

This link explains how this works so you will need to respond to the chat bubble at the bottom of the page when it appears:
https://community.sky.com/t5/Did-you-know/Escalating-a-post-to-a-Sky-expert/ba-p/3711147

When the chat bubble does appear you have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed. This isn't a live chat so replies are not instant.
