Direct debit taken for different sky customer

How can sky take money out of my bank for a different sky customer??? Rang up numerous times and getting nowhere. Keep being told the fraud department will make contact but had no one call me as yet! Very frustrating

@ESpiby is this a direct debit? Or a card payment? How,would the other Sky customer know your bank/card details?

After looking into my sky bills in detail. I thought I had 1 direct debit for my tablets and another for my mobiles. When looking into my bills my total is taken on 1 direct debit. After ringing sky the reference number on the direct debit belongs to a different sky customer. I rang 2 weeks ago saying my issue is being looked at and id be called within 72 hours from the fraud team and I've heard nothing

I think you'll have to follow this up directly with Sky.

I have tried, I've called them every day for the last 2 weeks and no one is calling me back. I think the service has been disgusting. If I owed sky the money they'd be breathing down my neck. Doesn't take 2 weeks to look into it. You can email the fraud team direct nor do they take incoming calls.

@ESpiby  In all this time have you not considered cancelling the direct debit in question?

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

@ESpiby  How long have the extra payments been taken for 

 

is it possible you gave a friend/family member your payment details for them to sign up with sky initially as that has been known to happen in the past
