I've managed to complete the SkyiD obstacle course! #hurrah I followed the details incorrectly at first. Then I followed them and put my Sky acc number in - this created an authorized user! I removed the user and started again from after registering them, and this time put in my viewing card details. Success I now have a Secondary SkyiD on my account!

Well done. To be honest, I gave up. Sky created my son as an authorised user - I couldn't get the system to change him to a secondary user. My son lives miles away and I can't face going through all that palaver again. Why do Sky make it so blinking difficult?!

This no longer seems to work. When you are logged in as the new user ID, and you have gone to https://www.sky.com/pages/sky-id-setup as per Big+Nose's guide, there are still three options, the first being "Watch Only". However, clicking that link just takes you back to your My Sky homepage. If you hover over the "Watch Only" tile you can see that the link is just www.sky.com/signin. It doesn't give you the page to link your account any more.

@Culraven, thank you for sharing your postive experience. Can I double-check how you used this link, please? Were you (a) the new Secondary Account that needed to be added to Sky Go or (b) the main account holder trying to add someone else to your account?
I am trying to help my elderly father through this process, so I would like to understand more before I start.

Thank you so much for this link. I've just spent a week with various Sky advisors trying to add my daughter as a Secondary Sky ID. But every method I was told only ended up adding her as an Authorised Sky ID. Can only assume that Sky don't want this link shared as it makes the job so simple and quick.

Just spent 2-3 hours trying to figure this out looking at various other threads.
Using this link worked, although I didn't use the link to create a new account. I just logged in (using a newly created account) and the 3 options including viewing card number were there. Very frustrated with SKY for this. No clear instructions from them is just poor.

Hi everyone, I cannot get this to work, has anyone successfully done it recently? I called Sky and the person on the phone was also unable to find a way to do it. I have up and said I'd check the Sky Community. All the links go back to a page that does not allow you to do anything e.g. the sky.com homepage. TIA

Answering my own questions for completeness - the crucial step was to set up a brand new account...then it worked with the link posted earlier.

I followed the steps, but it set it up as an Authorised User, not a secondary user.
My neice lives with me, and I set her up an account, but is shows as Authorised.
any way to change these from an authorised to a secondary?

@Gillby - Delete your niece's account completely, then create it again and follow the instructions carefully. Once set up as an authorised account, there is no way that I have found to 'downgrade'. If there were, this thread would be redundant (and the world would be a better place).
