COST AND CANCELLATION
I have been a customer for 23 years and am currently facing a cost of £125 per month (no sports no cinema) Its time to cancel due to ridiculous costs for poor quality serive. The website refuses to allow me to change my email address, refuses to allow cancellation which is all in breach of ofcom rules. Sky believes it to be above the law and provides a rubbish service. Crazy that commited subscription is viewed less important than the constant contract change. No interest in loyalty puely subscription number based which is a flawed business model.

Re: COST AND CANCELLATION
Why do you need to change your email address as I don't see how this is connected to cancelling ?
You might be able to use the messaging service online to cancel, if not you would need to call:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-tv
Select "No, I still need help" at the bottom of the page on the above link.
If someone has helped you then please click on the LIKES button in their post.
If you need help please provide as much information as you can

Re: COST AND CANCELLATION
Phone them and ask for cancellation and negotiate a price

Ofcom does not require that service they regulate is cancellable online: I don't believe they have the power to do so.
The Competition and Markets Authority may make moves to this effect as a result of the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act which was passed just before the General Election.

Cost of Sky
I am currently subscribing to Sky, no sports no movies and Sky broadband. £125 PER MONTH
Explain ? Sky is about to be cut. Sky's response ? you are on the best available package after 25 years. If I was a new customer it would be £49 per month. The worst of corporate USA !

Re: Cost of Sky
Most, if not all providers do this now. From recent posts on here it does seem that decent deals are increasingly hard to find. If you choose to leave the same will happen at the end of your discounted deal with whoever you go with. Once you've been away for 18 months you'll be able to rejoin and benefit from those new customer discounts.

Re: Cost of sky sky
Sky have no interest in current customers. The £100 plus per month you are paying means nothing against a new subscriber paying £50 per month. The business model is absolutley nonsensical. There again isn't everything in coperate america. The world is smoke and mirrors

Re: COST AND CANCELLATION
Getting a new customer is a lot harder than keeping an existing one who has got used to the service , hence they get incentives like lower prices for a while. It's not nonsensical, it's completely logical if you're that business.
Apple TV+ has a 3 month free intro period. Do all the customers who've been on longer have much luck if they ask for that price?
If it's not worth £125 to you, don't pay it.
