@Mark39 no there is no cost as they will know its been paid twice. And when chargeback happens sky will still onow its okay as the op has been paid already. I know as i did. No charge no worries. Just easiest/quickest way around it and hassle free!

@Daniel0210 i heard and read it clearly. Just baffling you are still believing its a good thing to do. Look at the original post. You guys tried to help me on the next day after sky took payment again. Came straight here and you guys contacted sky for me, and what happened? They fobbed me off stating bill for next month was being created. How. My bill was just paid. Next bill shouldnt be created until 2/ 1 weeks before payment date. Shocking and clearly just didnt want to pay up. Absolute shambles this community forum is lately. @Thabani just contact your bank and get it charged back. No fees no stress no problems trust me. You will regret it if you think sky will help you!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreJust because that has happened to you doesn't mean it will to everyone as not everyone will have the same billing date as you. If I have understood correctly because your bill had already been created your overpayment couldn't appear as a credit until the following months bill which would be correct which is why I presume you were told that you had to wait until it appeared.

@caesarome No that's not true at all. You clearly no idea. My bill wasnt yet created and only just been paid "Twice" so to state my bill was being created is horrendous and laughable and we all know sky are bad when it comes to refunds. I would know as its happened years before, reason i left as it got stupid with lies and giving excuses/reason to delay it then state, "so sorry cannot now too late to do it now" even though i asked the very next day. @Thabani just get on to your bank and forget what they say as its stupid.

If you have a continuous payment method set up you should never need to make a manual payment. A credit will now appear on your account for the amount you have overpaid. This will automatically be used to pay your next bill so on that bill date no/less money should be taken from your account. I would suggest not making manual payments unless requested to by Sky. If you want this payment refunded we can possibly get you some help on here so let us know.

Contact your bank. I got mine as i paid twice. And they got it back for me through direct debit guarantee/debit card. No fees to worry, as sky would just delay the refund!

In 48hrs sky has taken a payment of £105 and £100 so this is annoying lucky I checked my account at midnight. Naughty people at Sky Billing. I'm calling my bank in the morning to reverse one transaction.
I've had to cancel both direct debits because of this mishap. So stressful being a Sky Glass customer 😭.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Idanuk did you upgrade from Sky Q or Sky+? If so, there's often an initial payment overlap which might be the cause of this. Obviously any overpayment will be refunded by Sky. Cancelling your direct debit puts you in breach of contract and may result in your services being restricted.

Sky Billing
Well sky have said becuase i was on pay as you go phone line i was charged for 9 phone calls, around £27 , thats crazy isnt it? i can imagine this cost back in the 1980s with BT , but these telephone charges are totlly absurd and unwarranted in todays economics incuding the cost of living crisis.
July Invoice £201
August Invoice £201
Sky has now given me a new service from broadband and phone at £51 a month, is the vaule for money ? i still dont think so despite me being a Sky Glass customer , sky do not see me as a valued customer. My Sky Glass bill is around £91 per month
Total monthly charges to sky are £141 per month
(Bells & whistles) i think not.

Not really, to be honest. Pay as you Talk calls are 25p/minute, so £27 equates to around 108 minutes which over 9 calls isn't that long. A call package such as Sky Talk Anytime+ might be cheaper for you, is you're making a number of calls each month.

Deleting my reply doesnt help the corporation or yourselves. Only to cover up the fact it is much easier to contact your bank if you think you have overpaid or been charged multiple times! I did and was easier and quicker than listening to dribble. Direct Debit/DD Guarantee is what is there for, To protect consumers from being mischarged!
