I have received a text message and an email saying "we're sorry you're leaving us" but I never have attempted any switching at all. I am happy with my Sky broadband. I'm so baffled and wonder if I've been hacked somehow. I'm going to call Sky but this is worrying.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@LeoGirl1 You've not been "hacked" the more logical reason is someone has provided an incorrect address to their new provider so you need to call Sky to stop any transfer.
