ADDIIONAL LOCATION CHARGES

I have an email from Sky regarding my Sky Glass TV which I sold to a family member saying they will be charging me £26 for using it in another location.

After contacting Sky on 21st Jan I received another email saying they had cancelled my Sky Glass and would ensure no charges were added to my acccount.

I have now checked my Feb-March precdticted bill and to my amazement there it is £26 charge again!!!

As I cannot reply to this email and dont see why I should ring Sky and (wait hours) to complain does anyone know my options please??

Call Sky or log a complaint (but they have 56 days to resolve before you can escalate).

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

If you sold your glass tv was sold to another member of your family it should  now be linked to there  Sky account not yours. If you are being charged location charges  it must still  be that the tv is still  linked to your account and they must be using on that Ifthe  Sky adviser says they have canceled your account it probably still liable to a 31 day notice period and therefore if the are still using it on your account in that period  you would still be charged  for the use of the tv at that location. If you check on my Sky app if you have access to that on your phone or tabltv you should see when your contract finishes. I would also suggest you contact your member of your family and ask them to log off your account on that tv and log on with there's.

Re: ADDIIONAL LOCATION CHARGES

Futher to my post above to unlock the tv from your account  they need to perform a complete factory reset on it . This something you should have done before you sold it other wise it will just  continue using your account.

Re: ADDIIONAL LOCATION CHARGES

Reading you post again do you still have Sky on another device if so your account  would not be cancelled other wise you lose  viewing on the device you now using. Therefore the only way you can stop that tv being used on you're account is it have full factory reset as I Sid above.

Re: ADDIIONAL LOCATION CHARGES

I should add when you're family member put there own Sky glass account on that tv you account details will automatically be removed from your account ., however as I said above a full factory reset has to be done to tv to start the procedure

Re: ADDIIONAL LOCATION CHARGES

Thanks for the replies but I have done all the things that have been suggested and the Sky Glass has been removed from my account and a full factory reset before I gave the TV to a family member. Guess I will just have to ring Sky (and wait again) but it is so an annoying that they haven't done what they promised!!
