Have just noticed that in my playlist Miss Scarlett (well for some series and  the duke) series 6 starts tomorrow on U&alibi.

Cant wait for the first episode of series 6 to appear in my continue watching.

In all its forms over the previous five series, I've enjoyed it very much.

@lettice

Same here, can't wait. It appears as like the previous series this will be on boxsets as well.

I did read somewhere that this will be the final series.

Looking to start a hospital show on Disney plus.

Which of the following three would you recommend:

1. Scrubs

2. Grey's Anatomy

3. New Amsterdam

4. or another?

The top two are so different in their approach.

Greys Anatomy is a great watch, if medical tv series is a favourite genre.

I did enjoy the original Scrubs, not yet watched the very recent reboot, it's more a humour take sitcom approach but I would rate  it highly. It's so clever how it all plays out each episode, no spoilers there...

No idea in New Amsterdam, never watched it.

Afraid I can't  say as I've never watched that St Denis series.

hi @Doc5907

Another vote for Grey's Anatomy here - although I haven't seen the others.

The problem with Grey's Anatomy is whether you have time  to watch from the start or not.

There may, however, be too many seasons to watch from the start- although doing so makes sure you do cover the back stories so that some of the  detail included in later seasons has more meaning or which could be missed by not knowing the history.

Personally I have found the last couple (or maybe more) just 'OK' or even weak in places but earlier seasons had me gripped.

Thus, personally,  I would not recommend starting with the last couple or maybe more, more recent seasons.

IMO some of the seasons have some of the best writing I have seen and manage to combine humour with heartbreaking stories. They have had me laughing out loud and literally crying

I think they covered the Covid lock down really well.

I can't remember the exact season but around that time there was a spin off Station 19  (Fire station/Paramedics) where characters and stories were often intertwined. One of these involving a Dr. Luca was much fuller by watching both shows (no spoilers)

They are not afraid from covering political & controversial topics

I had far too much time on my hands last year and did binge watch from the start.

If you decide on Scrubs I'd suggest watching Season 1-8 of the original run first ( and ignoring Season 9 completely, which was a reboot with essentially an entire new cast and it failed miserably) and then moving on to Season 1 of the 2026 reboot.

Personally I love Scrubs its got the right mix of, in my opinion funny humour, mixed with some serious content at times.

Thanks @MarkGoldsmith @nigea99 @lettice  for the suggestions, I think I'll go for Grey's Anatomy and from the start of season 1.

Just have to find the time to watch it, all 338 hours of it!  🙂

@Doc5907  Grey's is a good choice, I've watched it since the beginning. There is another show on D+ ( and also available on Netflix ) called The Resident, that is also very good. Only 6 seasons, so not so many episodes. Another good one I watched recently on D+ is the S.Korean medical revenge thriller, Hyper Knife. Then, of course, when we get HBO Max, there will be The Pitt, which is meant to be extremely good according to reviews.

Absolutely loving Ted S2 at the moment. It is one of those rare things, a very funny, laugh-out-loud sitcom. The whole concept of the films & TV series is pure genius, so thank you, Seth MacFarlane, for showing me that sitcoms can still be funny.

A new series (S5) of the excellent BBC comedy The Young Offenders has dropped on iPlayer.

If anyone hasn't seen this before I highly recommend it as a laugh out loud comedy.

Hi folks

For those Grey's Anatomy or Chicago Med fans, what have you thought about the Pitt on HBO Max?  My other half has been watching it and loves it.

Thanks
