Day of the Jackal was one of the best things I've watched on television in the past while... loved it can't wait for the next season!

I'm a huge fan of TLOU. I've played the games multiple times, so I'm buzzing for season 2! It's hurting my soul a bit not to be watching it on a weekly basis, but I want to binge at least a few episodes in one go!

I also started the newest season of Black Mirror last night on Netflix, anyone else a fan?? No spoilers but episode 1's concept is that you need to pay for a monthly tiered subscription to live... they input a chip in the brain... standard plan is you can live but you must sleep 16 hours a day and can't go outside the location range you pay for unless you go to PLUS... which includes ads. It's a must watch, I love the dark twist on different aspects of life Black Mirror does...

@Ray+Keenan

Just finished the first series of White Collar.

Thanks for the recommendation, it is excellent.

Reminded me a little in concept of The Blacklist, with a felon helping the FBI...

Great acting and action, looking forward to moving through the next five series.

@lettice I'm so pleased you enjoyed the first season of White Collar. I love that show, the writing and cast chemistry were spot on.

and as an FYI, the Chicago series is confirmed to  begin next Friday (2nd May) - first showings at 1am, 2am and 3am or if  you prefer, 8pm onwards later that evening 😊

Hey Everyone 😀

With the longer nights coming in I am finding more time to be able to watch TV with that said I seem to have speed run and binged everything on my watch list and I'm now coming up empty!

Can you help end my doom scrolling ways and give me ideas on what to watch this cozy season?

What are you watching just now?

What's on your watch lists or is there a stand out series or film I need to watch?

Let me know!

Thanks

@SpaceSparkie

Looking forward to the new series of Blue Lights on BBC1. The previous series were good. Other than that we tend to stick to the usual… the Chicago franchise, FBI franchise, the new series - Doc, Fire Country, Task (although I'm finding that a bit difficult to follow ~ probably cos I'm posting on here during it 🙄).

So, the ones I forgot S.W.A.T., The Rookie, and two new series called Borderline and Frauds I'm looking forward to.

Forgot Trigger Point. I've added a few to my post above but I've kept to what we describe as 'evening programmes' so not including Emmerdale, Strictly, football and blood and gore medical progs for tea time!

We don't binge watch a series, we mix it up.

Hi @SpaceSparkie

If you subscribe to Apple TV the Slow Horses is a must IMHO.

We have just watched the first 4 episodes of the Australian broadcast "A Remarkable place to die" which we are thoroughly enjoying. .   It consists of 4x2 part stories with a sub plot running through the series.

  @SpaceSparkie  I thought I'd update my previous posts on this thread & maybe you'll find something you like from it. Currently, we are watching Castaway Diva on NF, which stars Park Eun-bin from the brilliant Extraordinary Attorney Woo, also on NF. She is such a good actress & a great singer, too. Other shows include Alice In Borderland ( 3 seasons on NF ), High Potential on Disney+ ( Columbo meets Monk ), Poker Face ( 2 seasons on Sky ), Matlock on Sky, The Resident on NF ( another medical drama, a very good one though ), Shogun on D+, and Pachinko & The Morning Show on Apple TV+. I've heard good things about Alien Earth on D+, but haven't watched it yet. Another way to go is to check out all the Asian shows available now, admittedly a bit of a rabbit-hole to enter, as most of the major platforms have quite a large catalogue now. We have seen a lot of good Asian TV over the years, particularly from S.Korea. Edit: Forgot to mention the brilliant Australian drama, The Newsreader on BBC starring the excellent Anna Torv, all 3 seasons should be on iPlayer.

Hadn't heard about S.W.A.T. Exiles. Interesting.

@Daniel0210 The following is taken from the geektown website article

Every time we think they’re down, the team behind ‘S.W.A.T.’ rise from the ashes and lives up to their creed to “stay liquid”. Whilst the main show is over at CBS, Sony Pictures Television, who produce the show, are making a spin-off which brings back lead Shemar Moore, called S.W.A.T. Exiles. (My emphasis: its a 10 episode run)

After a high-profile mission goes sideways, Hondo (Shemar Moore) is pulled out of forced retirement to lead a last-chance experimental SWAT unit of untested, unpredictable young recruits. Hondo must bridge a generational divide, navigate clashing personalities, and turn a squad of outsiders into a team capable of protecting the city and saving the program that made him who he is.

(My emphasis: commander hicks and deeks are the only other two originals to be announced as returning alongside hondo)

Sounds good 😀 I already watch S.W.A.T! If Shemar Moore is in it, i got to watch it. I loved them in Criminal Minds 😀 Emmerdale has been so good the last few weeks with the John story line i have enjoyed but im not caught up yet so that will be a task for tonight i think 😀

Slow horses i watched the first season of that didn't realise there has been more. i'll add that to the list. The Chicago series I do enjoy. I actually started to contemplate watching Grey's Anatomy has anyone watched it? what do you think of it? I tried to watch NCIS: Tony and Ziva but I struggled with how cheesy it could be sometimes. Alice In Borderland looks good i'll add that too and A Remarkable place to die sounds right up my street too!

I just finished Atomic and i really enjoyed that! I was disappointed as i thought i had an episode left but i'd already watched it 😂 The Iris Affair does looks really good! I actually seen a trailer for a new film called American Sweatshop all about a moderator (wonder why it stuck out 😂) which looks really good too but there is no release date for the UK yet.

Thanks
