Re: Sky nfl coverage...

By my reckoning, a minimum of 7 out of 16 games each week will be shown live

(Thurs, 2x Sun 6pm, 2x Sun 9pm, Sun Late, Mon Late)

I think NFL will lose a lot of GamePass subscriptions from supporters who want to see their team play, as the chances are the game will be broadcast live either on Sky or Ch5.

Excellent news, well done Sky! The deal would, I imagine, be well above what most people were expecting.

Re: Sky nfl coverage...

I think generally there are two great deals if your a Sky Sports viewer or a Free to air viewer! More NFL than ever before to watch! Well done 5 & Sky & the NFL.

Re: Sky nfl coverage...

I guess the main drawback is Sky's on demand system is really bad so if a match is showing on one of the plus live streams it may not necessarily be avaliable to watch afterwards unless it appears on the nfl channel unlike with gamepass where everything is avaliable live and on demand.

Same issue as the US Open

But now GamePass looks an (even) more expensive option now most games are available on Sky Sports and Channel 5.

I got GamePass last season - just not worth it now.

Sky coverage of the NFL

So sky finally came up with a 3 year extension..it took a while but at least this is something.

I see that Sky has already lost the rights to Hard Knocks..is this also the case with FNIA...football night in america

The opening game of the 2025 season is on Thursday night and I am hopefully recording it. I can see games on the schedule for Sunday and Red Zone is back as well...BUT..

I can't seem to to record the programme on before the Eagles/Cowboys game. Football night in America is on the schedule..its in the listings..but when I press record I get a message telling me I can't add it to my planner ?????

Anyone else having this issue..any idea what is causing it ?

Of course when I ask Sky thru allviewerrelations they come up with a rubbish answer that doesn't explain anything.

HELP....

Re: Sky nfl coverage...

Yes Sky still has NBC Football Night In America showing up on the TV Guide

It may seem petty but Hard Knocks is produced by NFL Films for HBO owned by the same company as TNT Sports UK & Ireland (and will remain so) unlike 5 years ago so guess they took over the rights with HBO Max launching by April.
