@Pjprince as discussed in this https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/What-s-On/Sky-Sports-NFL/m-p/5049892#M158061

No one knows yet what the position is, as there is no confirmation from the NFL as to uk & Ireland rights

It's interesting as well that with the changes to the sports EPG listing that Sky sports action that normally changes to NFL for the season has moved to 412

this to me seems to suggest that any proposed new deal for Sky doesn't include the dedicated NFL channel as it would look odd to have a dedicated sports channel separate from the rest in the listings

This link has Rugby Championship on Sky Sports Action in September

https://www.skysports.com/watch/rugby-union-on-sky

So possibly the dedicated NFL channel isn't coming back at least

Re: Sky nfl coverage from 2025

More FTA coverage aswell

"The NFL TV package in the UK for the 2025 season is set to be one of the most comprehensive we've ever seen. A whole range of channels and formats will be part of the package."

"There will be more live action than ever before free to air - and that will include in prime time."

Rumours 5 will have 2 Sunday games aswell

Re: Sky nfl coverage from 2025

Not sure how legit this is but here we go

Exclusive: Sky Sports Agree New Deal to Broadcast NFL to UK-Based Fans

British NFL fans will be able to watch superstars like Parsons, Jalen Hurts, and Patrick Mahomes every Sunday, Monday, and Thursday on Sky once again, with the company set to continue with their regular showings of one premium game in each time slot and all the prime time games, as well as NFL RedZone.

Again we will have to wait and see what the official word is from sky when they sign on the dotted line

Re: Sky nfl coverage from 2025

Hopefully we get an update soon.

Does anyone know the situation with the free to air highlights package?

ITV really messed it up after their first season, so I'm hoping BBC have got the rights back and we'll see NFL this week and the NFL show back on FTA.

Re: Sky nfl coverage from 2025

This confirms rumours I have been hearing regarding the NFL's strategy on TV deals outside the USA . They want to get more exposure by having more games free to air while still keeping the majority of games on subscription based platforms . It's already happening in european countries .

no one knows, until an actual announcement is made.

i'd be wary of both sources cited here, as they may just be click bait.

I really missed the nfl show last season - not sure why itv bid for the rights then slowly gave up interest. The live London matches are a big draw. Maybe sky will get them all this year .....

Live games set to be both on Channel 5 and Sky.

It surprises me if Sky are happy with both them and 5 having live games in direct competition with each other,  due to the cost of sky sports compared to a FTA (Free).

The other question would be the 5 rights in Ireland, particularly for playoff games (if the pick process is true as this would be a near virtual blackout in ROI)
