Sky could charge customers a lot less, and offer their customers alot more, if they did not show the same live sports games over different Sky Sports branded channels all at the same time!

When there isn't much live sport on this can and does happen, it is either the or they show a loads of repeats.

@Neo005 you will probably find that it's a different match on sky sports + 404 to that's been shown on 401/408

Weekday afternoons are not great for live sport

With tennis particularly with early rounds of tournaments, there are matches going on simultaneously

Sky Sports Main Event is similar to the now closed Sky Showcase, but for Sky Sports. Sky Sports Main Event showcases what's on Sky Sports, and in this instance it's showing content from Sky Sports Tennis. It may also be on Sky Sports+ due to having different camera angles/commentary/no commentary/etc. or additional content via the Sky Sports+ interactive channels.
