Absolutely furious this morning with the way that tennis fans in the UK are being made to pay even more to watch live tennis from the French Open this year !
I subscribe to Sky sports for coverage of the tennis and formula 1 and was eagerly awaiting the start of Roland Garros this morning only to find out it is no longer on Eurosport but on TNT , and discovery plus .....great thought I as I have discovery plus 😃 signed in and there it was .....but no you have to subscribe to TNT to access it ??????😡 This is what I found out .....
For one final time, Discovery+ will be the exclusive streaming home of the event – but only in the UK. It will offer coverage of every men’s and women’s singles, doubles, juniors, wheelchair and legends matches. But unlike last year, you’ll need a Premium subscription to access coverage. That’s currently available for £30.99 a month, up from the £6.99 monthly fee that applied last year, a 343% increase.
If you are in Europe (thanks to Brexit ) you watch free .
Why are we being shafted again ,is it not enough that we pay ridiculous amounts for Sky sports and still we are excluded from certain events . Not happy and seriously considering cancelling the lot 😡

Hi, I'm trying to find out if full coverage of the French open tennis is available on Sky Sports or is it only on TNT, thanks for any help given.

French Open behind paywall
I'm furious that the French Open tennis, which was free for years on Eurosport, is now on TNT sports. I already pay for the Sky tennis channel on Sky Sports and I'm not going to shell out extra for this event. Very unhappy!!

Re: Roland Garros 2025
@gaylyons @Maryinblean This has been well document since WBD announced the closure of Eurosport, which BTW was never part of your Sky Sport sub.
In essence this has nothing to do with Sky or Sky sports.

Yes I am aware of that , but Sky covers the majority of the Tennis across the world particularly the Grand slams , so why not the French Open ?

Because they don't have the rights to. TNT do. They can't show something they haven't paid for.

because the grand slams sell the rights separately to the wta and atp
i don't know how much wbd (tnt sports parent) paid for the european broadcast rights, but the US rights for french open, they paid $650m for 10 years

Re: Sky sports v TNT
Warner Bros Discovery Inc own the rights to the event: historically it was on Eurosport (also a WBD property) but that no longer broadcasts to the UK and RoI.

No access to Paris tennis Open with Sky Essential TV package
I took out the Sky Essential TV package because it included Discovery+ and I know previously tennis grand slam tournaments have been shown on Discovery+, I am so disappointed today at the start of the first of the Grand Slams since I took out the package, that if I want to see the Paris Open I have to pay a further subscription to TNT Sports. I feel as though I have been scammed!

You need to have the Premium tier of Discovery + which is the tier that includes TNT Sports
