Cannot believe we can't watch Roland garros except for an exorbitant price

I'd suggest complaints on that topic be addressed to the Fédération Française de Tennis who sold UK television rights to Eurosport/Discovery/TNT (all  of which are Warner Bros Discovery Inc brands)

Re: Roland Garros

Thanks for your help. That's very annoying because it was available last year. They only show a limited number of matches as well.

I'd imagine the £500,000,000 that FTF just took from Warner Bros for ten years of US television rights will mitigate their pain a little.

One has to wonder just how much longer the AELTC and LTA will be happy on BBC rates....

TNT sports French open

Have to say the coverage is fantastic and top class. So pleased that we have this as part of the package, whether it's the channel or app.

Sky sports tennis could learn from this to improve their channel

Re: Skys tennis coverage is so frustrating!

Equally Furious... Recently signed up for a new contract. We are primarily Tennis followers, so we are prepared to put up with/tolerate all the other rubbish on their many channels. Now just discovered the've palmed Roland Garros off to 'TNT' and requesting an extra £31.00 per month to access one of the best clay tournaments (and God knows what else).  Trying to cancel the whole lot, but I'm assuming there's some small print somewhere to preclude this.  Shame on Sky!

@NoTennis you can blame it on Warner Brothers - nothing to do with Sky. For that reason, and as you're in contract, it's unlikely that Sky will allow you to cancel early.

Historically, coverage was on Eurosport which hasn't been a Sky-owned brand since 1991.

Tennis on sky sports

Will all tennis matches be via TNT from now on? As I have Sky Sports package only for tennis  need to know as I object to paying £31 a month in addition to sky costs.

No, just Roland-Garros and the Australian Open.

As I mentioned above, Sky is in the second year of five year contracts with the ATP and WTA for their global 1000, 500 and 250 tours: it's the four Grand Slams and other independent events (such as the Billie Jean King Cup) which aren't covered by those agreements.

Re: Roland Garros 2025

I've just paid an additional £18 for a month to watch TNT, and it only has very limited matches. Only 3 showing today. Very unhappy

Re: French Open behind paywall

The french open was free on ITV too for a few years

Re: Roland Garros 2025

How did you pay only £18? I had to pay the full £31 for a single month to watch TNT through Sky 😞
