If you have the paramount app installed on a tablet or phone sign in to it and continue watching the episode you are stuck on. After getting past the ads a minute or so stop and retry on sky. This has worked for me so far as it appears to re-sync paramount. Not sure if this will need to be done regularly... Hope this helps

We tried it on a tablet but had the same trouble, it plays the ads for a few seconds then buffers. Error code 3005 again. It's so frustrating

Sorry to hear that, this has appeared to work for us.
is the app up to date on the tablet? And have you uninstalled and reinstalled it including clearing all the data from your tablets cache?

Same issue for me. Only effecting Paramount.

This is getting ridiculous now. I've upgraded my broadband package because that was blamed. Still freezing and getting error 3005. Surely it can't be that difficult to found a fix. All other streaming platforms work! Come on Sky you charge enough money for the service at least get it working properly!

This only appears to be happening to people who have the paramount plus basic with ads (included with sky) as the error occurs between the ads (as one ad goes into another)
because the ads only promote sky and paramount they come from both apps and are having a problem communicating to each other to which ad is next and causing paramount to crash..

Are you suggesting that Sky is injecting ads in Paramount+ and that's where the issue arises? If so, I don't think there's any evidence that that's the case, it's more likely Sky is paying for ads on Paramount+.

That's a lame excuse if that is the problem and could easily be rectified! Basically if we want to watch it we have to pay for the ad free version. Typical, nothing is ever free!

Yes agree, this is taking some time to fix.
On Monday I will request/report it again on our Superusers closed section for any update from Sky.
Last I heard as in answered post above Sky were looking at the problem.
Ive been watching on my Roku and iPad using the same Sky 'Cinema' credentials and have no issues at all.
Its just Sky Stream I get the ad stalls frequently and the errors.

Yes, I don't seem to have any issues when watching on my phone or android tablet, it's just frustrating that there are issues with the Sky Q connection as I want to watch it on my TV not small screen.
Hopefully we get some answers soon!

Appears to be no end in sight!!! Tried watching NCIS Sydney and finally gave up after jumping to the next episode and the whole thing freezing on either 31 seconds or 63 seconds, didn't have sufficient battery in phone to bother so went onto another streaming site, no issues despite there being adds!
Sky..... sort it out and stop robing people off with lame excuses and finger pointing, we get this through you!
