Re: Football encroaching everywhere!!

But it does impact our enjoyment if we like sports in general but can not stand football!!!

The amount we pay for Sky each month as opposed to DAZN, Amazon, Netflix etc is becoming very hard to justify.

So, presumably you're currently enjoying any one of the numerous cricket options available On Demand?

The histories of Sky and the PL are inextricably linked: it's very likely that neither would now exist without the other.

That's only going to change if a global streaming platform with deeper pockets decides to bid more than Sky could possibly match.

Re: Football encroaching everywhere!!

I pay to watch F1 content, not darts or football. Premier League Wolves vs Notts Forest on F1 tonight - not acceptable, especially given where we are in the F1 championship and recent developments 😡

Will be leaving Sky in January though because F1 channel is showing darts and football - not what I pay them for, so I'm off.

@BeeBee2025

So just as the F1 coverage restarts ahead of the next season (on 6 January).

What would you have liked to be shown on the F1 channel that can't be watched On Demand?

Re: Broadband drops every night from around midnight

Yes, because I'd rather put up with just highlights on free-to-air than stay with Sky any longer. It's been a catalogue of lies, mis-selling (admitted by Sky), appalling WiFi, lousy customer service, failing Sky Q product and general grief since I joined six years ago. I've had enough.

Re: Football encroaching everywhere!!

I'd rather have dead air than football or darts!  Given that my Sky Q box constantly drops wifi connection (not a WiFi issue, a problem with Sky Q reported by lots of customers) it's impossible to watch on demand content so that's not an option.

Again today Sky showing football on a non football channel

As my title says  Sky has got much football at the same time this season they are using non football channels to show all these matches. This not one off it has happened a few times this season and will probably happen again though out the season. Today the are using Sky tennis, Sky sports+  and main event to show  sperate matches. Sure  there is no live programming to show on this channnel and would only be showing recorded output. Though main event usually shows football when it on one football channles but it usually the same  mat has shown on the football channels. How ever this not the point some subscribers have on subscribed to the football channels and respect to see all the football matches that are shown on sky sports. On occasions like this do they accesses to  these extra channels  including main event when football channel is being shown on them, If not Sky is short changing these subscribers as they are not getting there full programming for what they paid for. I am not sure if this sort of subscription is still being offered, I think  it not available as part of a Sky stream scribers as thing that is offered there is the complete Sky sports package I am not what the situation is for Sky Q subscbers. Also Sky are using one of these channels as a multi screen  showing all four matches on the same screen. What the point of this the picture are so small you can't really see much of the action and can views really keep up with the going on on four screens at the same time. This channel can only really be used with keeping of the score of all matches, but you can do that by watching one of the channels showing the football anyway as they give regular on screen updates of the score of the other matches with Sky problem of not having enough channels to show football this channel is complete wast, If find them selves with this problem quite often may be they should rethink there dedicated channel Sky sports policy and go back  just go back  to numbers for the Sky sports channel in that way  they could show what they liked on any channel just like TNT sports do specially if Sky is only offering complete Sky sports packages to new customers . And for exsisting subscribers that have only been allowed to subscribe to one sport they should give them notice that they stoping this and give the offing a of a full Sky sports package with special discount on the price as a way of compensation  for the change because at present they are not full. value for there money in fact they are being shortchanged in not getting all the out put they are untitled to..

@DaveDrizen on the whole Sky stopped selling individual sports rights packages a while back, with the main exception still being F1 sold standalone.

Re: Football encroaching everywhere!!

What about subscribers that have only subscribed to the football channels there subscription covers all football on sky sports and definitely premiership matches. Because when they took out  there subscription the impression given by Sky, that all matches would be shown on the dedicated football channels. Therefore if they have no access to the matches shown on the other channels these subscribers are not getting all they have paid for. What is Sky doing to amend this situation as that football only subscribers are losing out and not getting all that have subscribed and paid  for

I might be wrong here but it could be that Sky unlocks these channels, so for example today when there is a match on the Tennis channel someone who subscribes to the football only might well get access to it.
