@Super+Anthony  You're going to be dissapointed as this is the only big announcement from Sky https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/What-s-On/Sky-1-is-coming-back/td-p/5193431/page/2#

Because having Sky Max and Sky Showcase with overlapping content was always rather silly ; )

The problem with releasing new puck hardware is everyone with an earlier loaned model would be here demanding a free swap.

It might be more than that. Reading some of the other articles, it could be a hardware or a new stream so let's wait and see.

Most of the media articles seem to be inferring its more likely to be an event aimed at TV content or software improvements/new features coming rather than hardware. So, it may potentially cover things like HBO Max coming to the platform, and perhaps promoting/announcing more new shows for Sky One.

Yes lets wait & see as there is no indication anywhere that there is new hardware being released as per @MarkGoldsmith  post.

If there were there would be seeing indicators within the new articales doing the rounds, I know some people seem to the over eager for a new stream puck, but I can't see that happening any time soon.

Re: Big things coming to Sky - 11th February

The event in February has nothing to do with any kind of new hardware it's programming related. It may be something also to do with the proposed purchase of ITV by Sky

To be honest, I'd be surprised if the event is ITV purchase-related. As ITV is a publicly listed company, all announcements regarding takeover offers or agreements must be made to the stock market ( and would subsequently require quite lengthy regulatory approval before any deal can be completed).

I've just had an email saying TNT Sport is moving from Discovery+ to HBO MAX. Maybe we'll get a special deal at Sky (or maybe not).

Yeah - for me that was to be expected with the launch of HBO Max as the way WBD are splitting the company in 2 puts the international TNT Sports channels into that part of the business ( which is the HBO Max, DC part - the part Netflix are attempting to buy).

Waiting on the other shoe to drop now with Sky unveiling how HBO Max will integrate with Sky subscriptions. If I remember right, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, HBO Max will be included in our Sky subscriptions.

Personally speaking (I have no other insight to offer), I'm expecting the Basic with Ads  tier to be included with a 'pay the difference' for higher tiers as per Netflix and Paramount+, the latter inclusive for Sky Cinema subscribers.

Whist I'm interested to see how this looks for Sky subscribers on day one, I'm more interested to see how this looks for Sky Atlantic.& Sky Cinema 12 months down the line. Interesting times!

Re: HBO Max

Hi All

With the update and press release today https://press.wbd.com/us/media-release/hbo-max-launch-uk-ireland-thursday-march-26 .

There is no update on any sky pages/social media regarding this

"In the UK & Ireland, the service will be available directly via hbomax.com and via launch partners including Sky and Prime Video"

With the launch a little over 6 weeks away, you would think Sky would have this infomation out in conjunction with the press release?
