I've looked and it doesn't say what channel numbers Disney is so I'm wondering if Disney will be later in October now instead of Monday October 6th @nolte

It is not listed yet as there has been no confirmation that it is relaunching, so far it is rumours and guesses.

If it is confirmed, then the place to get the epg number is the thread I linked above.

To be honest, i would be expecting Disney to want to issue a press release announcing the launch of any TV channels, along with the launch date at least several days prior to the launch.

Not really weird if they aren't launching anything immediately within the next couple of days though

That is Right, but the Test Channel is Real 🙂 do you think Sky make a joke of it, to put in the EPG Disney Relates things.. ? That would be rude of them.. 😂😅😎

It's got nothing to do with Sky. Providing a broadcaster has the necessary license they can broadcast via satellite.

The only part where Sky would come to it is if the said broadcaster wants to be carried on the Sky EPG or is broadcasting an encrypted channel as they would they likely want to deal with Sky as a way to selling the channel to customers. If a broadcast chose to unencrypt the channel then anyone with a satellite dish could pick up the channel irregardless of Sky (although they would have to manually tune the channel in).

As of 02/10/25 Disney still doesn't appear to hold a UK broadcast licence (which they gave up in November 2020)

Re: Disney Channel UK returns!?

You will note there is no UK licence for the Disney owned Nat Geo and BabyTV channels either, as Disney channels are licenced outside the UK. While it is much more complicated since Brexit it is still possible to broadcast to the UK under a licence issued by certain other European countries, due to old "European Convention on Transfrontier Television" legislation.
