Disappointed with getting Disney +

I have followed the instructions for connecting to Disney + but it just keeps going round in circles unless I change to paid subscription

hi @Manda01

do you already have a subscription direct with Disney + (or a 3rd party) that does not include adverts ?

My daughter did and I used to use her code before it became available with Sky for free

hi @Manda01 Did you use the same email address to try to switch.

When switching to Disney+ it will match the tier on existing accounts and wants the cost to upgrade from the Basic with Ads to the higher tier - £4 for Standard no adverts & £9 for Premium

Thus was it askling for this uprade cost ?

You're not actually changing anything if you're using your daughters Disney account and she's paying for Ad free or the Premium sub. It's pulling through her current subscription tier at either £4 per month for Ad free or the £9 for Premium which supports up to 4 simultaneous streams (only 2 on the lower 2 tiers) plus UHD  support. You need to let it do that and when you've finished you can go into your Sky account (App Subscriptions) and change to whichever tier you want, it will change over at the end of the 30 days.

Note that the payment will come off whatever payment card you have (or add at the time) on marketplace.

My daughter has actually stopped her subscription now so I'm still in limbo

Has it fully cancelled down now or just in the notice period? If it has shut down then it still pulls through on the previous tier.

If it is still pending full cancellation then you may be best advised to get her to stop the cancellation as I'm not 100% sure on how that would work. You would then be able to do as previously stated and just downgrade after registering the account with Sky. Or you could just use your own details and set up a new Disney+ account through Sky.
