Re: Eurosport from 28th February
It won't be available on any Sky platform in the UK as WBD are closing the channel and moving all content to TNT and/or the DIscovery+ app.
Sky customer since 2001
with: Sky Q | Sky Superfast Broadband | Sky Talk | Sky Mobile

Re: Closure of Eurosport channels 28/02/25
Thanks @Laing1. Not allowing me to have multiscreen with just Essentials didn't make any sense to me but the advisor was adamant. I think he wanted me off the phone as he pointed out that the phone lines close at 9pm (It was 5 to 9). I was surprised at the haste with which he pushed me to cancel my TV subscription.

Re: Closure of Eurosport channels 28/02/25
I have just contacted Sky and was told I would have to pay for TNT at an extra £30 per month. I then asked to cancel my contract, so was put through to Retentions. The chap at Retentions then told me that, although Eurosport would no longer be on the EPG, it would still be available via the free access I have to the Discovery+ app I get through Sky. I said that was contrary to anything I had read, but he was adamant that this was what the briefing he had received said.

@Ashlar he's talking nonsense, it will not be available within the free version for sky customers come 28th February

Re: Closure of Eurosport channels 28/02/25
That was my view. I'm afraid, given the attitude of the Sky this morning, who were not willing to offer any sort of deal and also informed me of the coming price rise, I shall be cancelling my contract come March. I'll be able to get what I want to watch, without committing to a long contract, by subscribing direct with Discovery+, Now (for Sky sports) and Netflix at a much more reasonable rate than Sky are able to offer.

Re: Closure of Eurosport channels 28/02/25
some if will be on red button, but a good amount will be on one of the 4 TNT Sports channels. Remember TNT are losing the NBA basketball too, which will open up some broadcast channel space. That aside, they are not going to put (for example) all of the Tour de France, or all of the French Open tennis on red button / app platform. The trophy Eurosports events that TNT are subsuming, be it Tour de France, Grand Slam tennis (French, Australian Opens) will be given at least some decent prominence on their over the air TNT 1-4 channels. It woudl be illogical for them to hide some of their highest profile rights any other way.
