I contacted Sky this morning and told call handler about the problem viewing Chicago PD, sound , no picture .  I asked to have UHD added to my package, for free , for 2 months , as suggested by previous Sky chat user. This has been added but made no difference. If it does work for you , remember to cancel in 1 months time as you will be automatically  be charged £6 once the 2 months free offer is finished

@EC12 you should make sure you are selecting the UHD version to watch specifically, if you just try to access via your continue watching rail it will likely just play the HD version again.

The uhd version for me is working fine for episode 5 and 6 on my Sky Stream.

It is just the hd version that has the issue.

On the episode tile  in your playlist, choose the Other formats button underneath the episode tile  and select uhd from there.

You will then see the tile for the episode listshowing uhd in the synopsis.

Chicago PD

I watch Chicago PD on recorded and for the last two episodes the picture disappears after 15 minutes you can still hear the programme but without a picture

 

All my other recordings are fine has anyone else experienced this problem

I tried all of the suggestions and spoke to Sky.  Giving up now. Will just wait till I can view in normal HD.

Have moved you post to this ongoing issue thread.

Read the posts here and the answered post.

In the meantime, you can watch the episode on Sky Go or and only if you have the uhd  pack on Sky Stream, the uhd version plays out fine, it seems only the hd version is causing the issue.

I have the puk and have tried changing to UHD with absolutely no difference,  this only seems to be with this one program which is a shame

Please SKY GET THIS SORTED as it's not fair as we're all paying for a service.

Why do episodes of Chicago PD go blank after approximately 10 minutes?

Chicago PD

Both last week's and this week's episodes of Chicago PD, got about 1/3 of the way through, then the screen went black (other than the subtitles), and we could hear the sound.  No problem with Fire or Med, we managed to see it when it went out live, later.

wondered if anyone else suffered the same.

Still not sorted and it's doing the same for Episode 6...no pictures after 1st commercial break. How hard can this be to resolve...come on Sky!?!

This issue clearly hasn't been resolved, programmes on sky witness (specifically Chicago pd) fail to work after the first ad break. Programme functions perfectly then after first ad breaks goes to black screen with sound. This is consistent on both puck and Sky glass. Shambolic for the fees that are charged.
