Should really have been informed to us yesterday, and that we would not be getting it due to issues.

Re: Changes to the TV Guide - November 2024

To be perfectly honest sky should do what virgin media do weekly. They provide a magazine type link straight to your email inbox that provides all these kind of updates and more.  We are paying customers, if channels are added/removed/postponed we should be told, and not reliant on a community message board. Have you seen what virgin send  weekly

@SKY1992bf  Indeed and then what would they do if these threads were simply removed.

Re: Changes to the TV Guide - November 2024

We aren't lucky that we are being kept informed. The reasons that companies have community pages is that it makes business sense, it reduces costs on calls that may be made to call centres.

We aren't talking here about Freely or Freeview, many subscribers are paying north of £100 a month for TV,  are we not entitled to be informed when new services have started, withdrawn or postponed ?

virgin media offer a weekly magazine via email that keeps customers completely updated with all changes. Maybe this is something sky should consider ?

all the folks on here do a great job, especially the super users, but let's remember you are not paid for the help you offer or even offered a reduced subscription.

sky are part of one of the worlds biggest companies, and should act like it, both in terms of their customer comms and secondly how shoddy their stream box has been to some customers

But it would be nice to be factually correct though

Re: Changes to the TV Guide - November 2024

True @Annie+UK but as customers, it would be productive if Sky let us know about delays, so that we would know, and we wouldn't need to bother people on here etc. but also when a fix has been done, then they could tell us what the cause was.

I do agree also that people on here, as well as on calls with Sky that they are helpful. Every time I call or email, the people are exceptionally helpful and friendly.

For other companies I use and if there are issues, I and other customers get hourly / daily updates when there is an issue

Re: Changes to the TV Guide - November 2024

I just spoke to a very helpful individual at Sky and was informed there was a technical issue from the makers / developers of the channels

Where do Virgin provide a list of channels that are being added/closed/rebranded? Their weekly email, that can be read by anyone at https://www.virginmedia.com/virgin-tv-edit/tv , is just a load of highlights of upcoming programmes.

It's surprising that the delayed launch of a few music channels has caused such a fierce reaction. They're not even good quality channels, the picture of many of the 80s/90s videos is abysmal compared to the same videos on MTV.

A bit like the reaction from some when channel number changes are not updated by a certain time!

Re: Changes to the TV Guide - November 2024

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one, I checked my Sky Stream guide tonight as I did not have it on last night, only to see that the Now Music Channels are not on the guide yet, I really hope they will not be delayed for too long, maybe with any luck, they will be added in time for Black Friday, also, I wonder if we will get the That's TV channels added before Christmas as I have also read that they made an announcement earlier this year that they intended to "Stream" their channels by the end of this year, but nothing yet, maybe a big launch planned for Black Friday weekend with the Now TV channels being added and on Cyber Monday, the That's TV channels added?.
