Doubt that the channels might've been easier. I think with advances in tech, consolidation of Sky is almost always a good idea but Yatching TV, UnchainedTV are basically Lifestyle on StirrTV should've launched Early this year.

Dude, stop! Every "Changes" discussion, you keep suggesting channels that are not feasible or likely to be put on Sky.

Again, as I have mentioned in other posts, these are small FAST channels that are not available on major FAST providers like Pluto TV, Tubi, Xumo, Roku Channel that are available in the UK.
(Ireland doesn't really have FAST channels with the exception of Samsung TV Plus which is available on Samsung TVs only, but it's a heavily watered-down version of the UK version, and also The Chase 24/7 on Virgin Media Play)

The only FAST channels Sky have that are on Sky Glass/Stream in the UK only are:

  • Sky Sports Classics
  • Sky Sports Vault
  • Sky Sports Stories
  • Pick Paranormal/Monkey Rescue
  • Emergency 24/7
  • Sky Artist of the Year
  • NBC News Now
  • Billiard TV
  • Great British Menu
  • Homes Under The Hammer
  • Crime & Justice

These are all provided by Xumo Play. So you should contact Xumo Play if you want your mentioned channels on their platform. But it's still unrealistic that they might get on Sky at all.

Sky Glass/Stream in Ireland, and Sky Q are still waiting for the FAST channels to appear. This was confirmed when the FAST channels launched in 2024.

Similar content from Yachting TV can be found on Sky Nature, Sky Documentaries, National Geographic, National Geographic Wild, Discovery Channel

Similar content from Unchained TV can be found on Food Network, Sky Nature and Sky Documentaries, National Geographic, National Geographic Wild, Discovery Channel

Similar content from Lifestyle from STIRR TV can be found from Really, TLC, Sky Witness, Sky One.

I also could discuss the rights of the channels and their content, but I think I made my point clear.

Re: Changes to the TV Guide - May 2026

First, my apologies for the ongoing absence due to personal reasons. However if Sky Cinema rebranded some of its channels in the future, I have a few ideas that may came true via my recommendations:

  • Sky Cinema History - possible ideal for films based on historical fact (e.g. MunichSave The CinemaTom Jones, BraveheartKingdom of HeavenAmadeus300) or films that depicting so-called "lost history" (e.g. GladiatorIvanhoe, Ben-Hur), in part (in my view) due to evidence of individuals either been omitted or destroyed to history (although commonly depicted in film and literature as examples of lost historical individuals or events). The channel would replace Sky Cinema Hits
  • Sky Cinema Fantasy - ideal for fantasy films like The Lord of the Rings or Mortal Kombat (despite being labelled as action-adventure). The channel would replace Sky Cinema Select.
  • Sky Cinema Gold - potentially a spiritual successor to Sky Movies Gold, the channel would return to the Gold name that aired classic movies between like 1930 and 2009; including the Oscar-winning Rocky, as well as other classics from On The Waterfront to The Breakfast Club. The channel would replace either Sky Cinema Greats or Sky Cinema Thriller (which may require the re-merger of Sky Cinema Action and Sky Cinema Thriller to reform Sky Cinema Action & Thriller - similar to Sky Movies Action & Thriller before 2010).

I believe this could be my best idea that I wished for. However, I would love to see how it works out in the future if possible. But I believe that should come under one condition is to retire pop-up channels for good at some stage,  with the exception of Sky Cinema Christmas (which comes once a year from November-December) but should be renamed back to Sky Cinema Christmas Channel (like what Sky Movies Christmas Channel did before 2016), after 17 years.

Re: Changes to the TV Guide - May 2026

On Sky Media Village listings, Sky Cinema Select and Sky Cinema Hits are no longer listed.

Now just referred to as Sky Cinema Pop Up and Sky Cinema Pop-Up 2

That would also explain why other cinema channels have not been updated recently.

What I said may not have been clear. I mean, that's why other cinema channels have not had their name changed recently, it's only Sky Cinema Select/Pop-Up and Sky Cinema Hits/Pop-Up 2 that have their names changed over and over recently.
