I'm not going to say it but my personal but passionate plea for Sky Cinema to bring back the old traditional rundown menu (and graphic menus as well) [not during the future rebrand but after the future rebrand] - albeit with the soon-to-be-rebranded graphics - that were held by the old Sky Movies from 2003 to 2008. I missed all of those one as a kid. I know it show four individual clips of each film to see what's coming on tomorrow, tonight, etc.

In addition to the rundown menus, would also love to see how Sky Cinema would also bring back its traditional trailers for films that were soon to be premiered or else promoting a season of films (e.g. Transformers). I remember First-Time Saturday strand on Sky Movies (which quietly ended in April 2007) for films premiering every Saturday and I would also love to see that to be brought back in the future where possible with a future TV premiere of Mercy (the recent 2026 sci-fi thriller film starring Chris Pratt and Rebecca Furguson). I would suggest that it would coincide with a potential rebrand of Sky Cinema to match the upcoming ones used by Sky One. I know many people would miss the traditional stuff on Sky Cinema but if you look at TVArk or YouTube, you can see how things that were used to be before Sky Cinema came along in 2016 (ten years ago).

However, away from Sky Cinema, I would like to see 100% chance in rebranding Sky Sports and Sky News simultaneously if possible or otherwise six months from now.

It will premiere on Prime it's a Amazon MGM Studios film, the only reason it's Sony releasing in Cinemas is because Amazon haven't yet launched a international theatrical arm,.

@Timelord2018 Apologies if I mentioned Mercy when i got a bit too carried away. Very well, i can only guess it'll be on Amazon Prime then first before Sky Cinema where feasible (if that can only come under some condition that needs to be taken into account).

In the meantime, why not Sky can return to strike a multi-year deal with Disney, similar to their 2013 deal, by returning to air Disney films (including some originals) if possible. This should include premieres within like four months after being premiered on Disney+ if it's a good idea to fill the gap between streaming and traditional television airings.

Because in 2013 Disney didn't have their own streaming platform?

Last year Disney+ reported a global subscriber base of around twice the size of the entire UK population.

Re: Changes to the TV Guide - February 2026

@TimmyBGood I understand that, but the Sky-Disney multi-year deal only come within seven years before Disney+ came along on 23rd March 2020 (which was during the Coronavirus pandemic) following its formal launch in the US and Canada in the late-night hours of 11th November 2019, although they are criticism about the lack of content but also alterations to older content (which i believe it is not acceptable in nowadays).

The 2013 deal, however, resulting Disney Cinemagic to close down at 12am during the evening hours of 27th March 2013, withing like one day before Sky Movies Disney [later Sky Cinema Disney] was launched. But on New Year's Eve 2020, Sky Cinema Disney closed following the closures of three Disney channels in September 2020 (including the Disney Channel) with content shifted to Disney+.

Channel 4 has got the Disney films back last Christmas, so let's hope Sky Cinema follow suit where possible.

There are long delays between the films release and coming to Channel 4.

Frozen II was in the cinemas maybe November 2019, so 6 years afterwards, it was on Channel 4.

Re: Changes to the TV Guide - February 2026

Well, I'm very happy to hear the news today about the new Sky-Disney multi-year deal. And guess what? Disney Cinema is aboit to be launched in the future and I will have to keep an eye on that one.

But what's disappointing me on the other hand is that, although they swapped the 2020 design for the boxed-style logos for the remaining Entertainment channels on Sky, they still using the same colour choice and lowercase typeface for channels (comparing to Sky One). And yet, the new Sky Documentaries logo (as mentioned on Pres Cafe) should've fit the word "Documentaries' in it unless using the condensed typeface of the same Sky Headline font the next time.

The updates to these channels logo (as shown on Pres Cafe forum) are, to me, disappointing but I hope that they should give another rebrand (albeit a proper rebrand) next year and also give them a different colours and an uppercase font for each channels (e.g. Sky Witness). While at it, i can also suggest for Sky is to rename Challenge as Sky Challenge from next year onward (one year after the return of Sky One).

Re: Changes to the TV Guide - February 2026

I wonder if Sky just not making that much on it so Disney+ Cinema which may have had a teensy bit more of an impact. Weather the 152, 312 or 614 to be filled with EPG.

Option:

152: until Sky Max closes

312: could move down to 315 Movies24 and 316 Movies24+

614: After POP closes

Re: Changes to the TV Guide - February 2026

Is it Sky ? Reads like Disney operated channel to me

Disney appear have bought 164 slot from Hearst on Satellite , Nat Geo Wild was moved to 164 in the Channel Islands at the end of last year.

Re: Changes to the TV Guide - February 2026

@Timelord2018 I'm sure I can agree with it. Disney+ Cinema, while operated by Disney, does include already in the deal in anyway.
