I am moving house due to a seperation, I need to transfer my landline number to A) my new house or B) my dads house in the same village. My dads house is in the same village - he already has a sky account. My new house is in the neighbouring village which technically has a different area code. do I a) cancel account at exisiting home b) transfer to new home c) ask dad to call sky and get this number added to him. Helpppp!!

Re: transferring existing landline number
So far as I'm aware Sky can only port (transfer) your number when you switch your existing phone service to another provider, or carry out a home move. Even then it's not always possible.
Sky can't add your number to an existing service on a different line.

Re: transferring existing landline number
@LandlineHelpPLZ I recently decided to have sky BB that meant phone as well, I enquired about this extensively, that it was very important I kept my same land line number, it was a must (well for my wife anyway) I was with bt even they told me that if I took out a new deal or reregistered as a new customer even they could not gaurentee keeping my same number and as @Mark39 stated ONLY when you move providers with same number be gaurenteed. hope this helps.
