Do Sky still offer free calls to family & friends? I had a list of family names where calls were free but now I've started to be charged. Only seems to have started happening since we had Sky fibre installed.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI've been with Sky for BB and landline for quite a few years and that isn't something I've seen offered by Sky. I think BT used to offer that.

As @Daniel0210 indicates, 'Friends & Family' was a BT product which ceased for new users more than a decade ago. Even then it was just a discount scheme rather than free calls, because telephony used to be seriously expensive.

That suggests you were previously on an inclusive tariff but have now moved to the default Sky Talk 'Pay As You Talk'

That would make sense but I've been with Skytalk for a number of years and never paid extra for individual calls. Last month I was charged £3 for a single call albeit the call did last 70 minutes but I've been making the same call to the same number most weeks for a long time and never been charged a single surcharge or never realised if I have.

That's why I wondered if you have left an inclusive bundle recently. Landline calls are typically never actually free.
