Re: lost old landline number without my knowledge
First against court, what will court do? than what will I claim against? Then rambling on about what loss of service doesn't apply to me. You don't even know if I'm a business or residential. So you agree with business it's a loss but not with residental. [Removed]

It doesn't matter what I'm using it for, if it's a loss of service due to change of number, than same would apply for domestic. And I have just googled it and I am right. You do not know what loss of service is!
You're wrong. You're confusing loss of a service (which you consider to be your phone number) with total loss of service which means inability to make or receive calls. It's the latter that the auto compensation scheme applies to. But you carry on.....

For what? You said you have a Business number "If your business number has changed and your customers can't reach is it not a loss of service?" Yet you have signed up to a domestic service, therefore you've used the incorrect service for your neeeds, the terms & conditions are clear on what a service is for, the courts will read those T&C's.
But good luck as you're going to need it.

Re: lost old landline number without my knowledge
Even if you only use the line for domestic use you won't be due any compensation / damages as
- presumably your broadband is working okay
- your landline is working for incoming and outgoing calls but just not with the landline number you were hoping for
Therefore there has been no loss of service. Thats the crux of the matter.

We just seem to be repeating ourselves. That is not a total loss of service.

Re: lost old landline number without my knowledge
@Daniel0210 maybe not total loss, but losing a number is a loss.

You would have to convince anyone from who you're seeking to make a claim that your financial loss , as a domestic customer, arising from losing your number to be anything more than negligible.

Re: lost old landline number without my knowledge
This has happened to me, realising just yesterday after broadband activation last Thursday and myself changing the phones around to lead from the hub and hearing a tone.
I don't even have a clue what my new number is, despite them saying they would port the old one across (which I have had for 20 plus years).
I have received no communication from Sky advising of a new number, and I have no idea what my skytalk package is, i.e. tarrifs etcetera.
Any links or advice anyone can provide in terms of how I might find out the number/tarrif terms?
Cheers,
Darryll

Re: lost old landline number without my knowledge
@Darryll you can find your number by dialling 17070 on your landline phone. The default tariff is Pay as you TalK, which has no inclusive calls - you pay for every call.
You can find a link to the Tariff Guide here: https://www.sky.com/help/home/sky-talk/talk-policies-and-info/sky-talk-user-manuals/articles/downloa...

Re: lost old landline number without my knowledge
@Darryll You can either dial 17070 on your landline or call your mobile from the landline to obtain the new number, it should also be within your account billing area under broadband.
