landline fault

I have a 'check phone line' message is displayed on my handset. 

My sky broadband is working fine.  Has anyone any ideas how or if I can fix this myself?

Some background, please. Are you new to Sky Talk (landline) or has your Sky landline worked OK up to now? Do you have standard calls from a wall socket or Internet calls via your broadband Hub?

We have this too since sky upgraded the line.  They say it's an internal phone line issue which we never had until they upgraded

By upgraded your line, do you mean switched you to Internet calls, where your landline service is provided via your broadband Hub? It would be the same for customers of all providers because your old internal phone extensions become redundant.
