im thinking of joining SKY but have a question about the landline.
i currently have normal copper broadband and want to switch to 500mbps fibre. but we have a dect phone and auto dialer alarm.
will these still work after the switch over to sky? does sky charge an extra monthly fee for the landline, we dont make out going calls apart from if the alarm calls us.
the alarm is only about 10 years old so uses tone dialing.

Re: im thinking of joining SKY but have a question about the landline.
@AdamK5 If you get FTTP the landline is delivered over the FTTP connection and may be an issue with an auto dialler alarm, your dect phone will work regardless.
I would look to ask the larm company to upgrade your alarm system as eventually copper lines will cease at some point and all calls will come over VOIP.

No idea, but we've seen issues previously reported

I don't know what that means, sorry.

All monitored alarm providers need a solution before PSTN is switched off, otherwise they are going out of business. It's up to the alarm company to ensure compatibility, not the ISP.

Maybe check Ebay for the discontinued WiFi option.
Based on my experience to date, I certainly wouldn't rely on Sky's telephony for anything remotely critical.
