No voicemail

On my landline when I tried to check for messages it  says 'your voicemail is turned off please contact Sky to get it turned back on'

Give Sky a call. Dial 150 from your landline phone. I presume you've previously signed up for Voicemail or Voicemail Plus and are being charged the relevant fee?
