If your current phones are BT Digital Voice handsets these will only work with BT's Kit and service.
Sky's Digital Voice equivalent (Internet calls) works with any modern corded or cordless handset that can plug into a normal phone port. You just plug it into the phone port on the back of the Sky router

Specifically wireless BT Digital Voice handsets can only link with a BT Smart Hub 2 because it's that model of Hub which acts as the handset base-station and BT chose not to make them with wider compatibility.
A Digital Voice branded cabled handset should be able to plug into the 'phone' port on the rear of a Sky Broadband Hub, but some BT-specific functionality may not be available.

Did you keep your old BT Digital Voice landline number? Was it successfully ported over to Sky?

Are your phones plugged into your broadband Hub? They're unlikely to work from a wall socket
- BT would not let my number transfer
Not a Sky issue
- Sky failed to send promised Booster, they say one was delivered in Feb 22 - as we only moved here in July 22 suspect previous occupant has it.
Something you would need to follow up with Sky
- "Guaranteed" wifi in every room looks like a distant dream.
This explains the Wifi Guarantee, and what you need to do to claim
- Current download speed 62 mb/sec against promised minimum of 100 mb/sec.
The promised minimum is the speed to your Hub, not the speed from your Hub to wifi connected devices
- Certainly saves money.
- At present not impressed with eith BT or Sky, hope it improves.
- Cant find anyone on Sky to complain to.
See here for the various ways you can complain

Unfortunately the only actual 'guarantee' is a small refund if the terms of the scheme (3Mbs or 10/25Mbs) aren't met. No ISP actually guarantees speed or coverage in all cases because that's essentially impossible without costing the provider more than any particular subscription is worth to them.

As noted above, if those are BT 'Digital Voice' handsets they only function when BT is the ISP: that's BTs choice as the only ISP to have own-brand telephone hardware.

To summarise: BT's Digital Voice phones won't work. Any standard phone will.

You need an analogue (not 'VOIP' / 'digital' / 'IP') handset or DECT basestation with a BT jack (British Standard 6312 431A) plug: this connects to the 'UK' marked phone socket on the rear of a Sky Broadband or Max Hub.

I had the same problem and bought 2 x Panasonic cordless digital phones from Amazon and they work fine.
Anyone want 2 BT Advance Digital Home Phones?
