A solution might be a standard cordless DECT phone, where a base station plugs into the Hub, and the handset(s) placed wherever it's needed. There may, however be a range issue with the Hub being placed in a cupboard, unless it can be relocated externally by using longer cable to the ONT.

Thank you, appreciateyour help. I won't go down the hub route as it is putting more appliances in the cupboard and as you say the signal could be an issue.
