new router and now no land line

I have just installed a new router and  now my land line is dead. Do i need to get a new phone and this one is about 12 years old

Are you new to Sky broadband/landline, or recently upgraded your broadband? Do you have a white Hub or a black one?

Just ugraded to a white router.

Was your phone plugged into the back of your previous Hub, or into the wall socket?

into the back of the router. When i put wires into new router i followed how they went in the old one if you understand what i mean

Its ok i left it overnight and the phone is working again Thank you for the help though.
