Phone line not working

Our phone line has not been working since at least yesterday. Fuzzy cracking noise when you pick up the receiver. No dial tone. No way to contact Sky to get help! Broadband still works, but there is no way to contact Sky to report the fault. Used mobile to call helpline, but the wait is expected to be at least 20 minutes...I can't wait that long!

A few months ago the broadband went down, I was able to get online to see that there was a problem in the area, but because I knew there was already an issues identifies, I didn't specifically log our issue. Then Sky refused to compensate us for the time we were without broadband. NOT super pleased with the customer service. Someone please advise as to how I get our phone line restore ASAP.

To see if they can check your line, and if need be notify Openreach, I’ve escalated your post to Sky and the Escalation Team may get in touch with you later.

Look out for an email and also a blue/red speech bubble at the bottom of your forum page. Once that speech bubble appears you only have 48 hours to join the private chat or it will close automatically. If you fail to respond to each message from Sky within 48 hours the chat will again close down automatically even if your issue hasn’t been resolved. Replies from Sky aren’t instant so you’ll need to check the chat thread regularly.

You need to make sure that your email/private message notifications are switched to ‘on’ to avoid missing the alerts.

If you are using Safari also make sure that Hide IP Address is not checked in order to see the chat bubble. If you have trouble finding this to check the settings, use another browser such as Chrome or Firefox.
