I have just installed my sky max router in which I'm connected to the internet, the problem is my landline is not connected, despite going through online help. Don't know what to do.

Yes my phone is plugged into the back of the router, I'm getting a bleeping noise when I dial a number and a red light on my phone, it just doesn't connect, so unable to ring out or receive calls.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreWhen was your broadband service activated? It can take 24 hours or so for the phone service to become operational. If it's longer than that, first try restarting your Hub, by switching it off at the plug for 30 seconds. If the phone still isn't working, it would be best to report it to Sky. If you wish we can ask their messaging team to contact you here so thay you can report it via a private online chat.

@Mark39 Sky activation date was 11th June. My broadband is working ok it's just my landline has no dialling tone so can't make or receive calls. I would prefer to speak with someone. I would be grateful if you could ask their messaging team to contact me. Many thanks.

@Mark39 I managed to find a number to ring, in which they did tests. Broadband was fine just the landline at fault. They are running more tests over the weekend and if they can't solve the problem after 72 hours are sending out an engineer. I appreciate your help in this matter. Sincerely Chantal.

I have no landline connection. We have the error warning: Please check line cord. We've checked every connection and everything looks to be connected correctly. We have made no changes to our contract. I have tried to raise this issue with Sky's livechat but keep hitting dead ends.
Can anyone help?

@KC24 I also have the the error message on my landline saying please check line. Sky have been running tests on my line and told me if they can't solve the problem after 72 hours will send out an engineer. I'm currently waiting on a text message.
