Missing phone number/where is it?

Being a senior citizen, my family live in France,Australia, and use my landline number to contact me.

unfortunately during setting up of sky Q it has been replaced without notification

hi @slessbrass 

 

You have posted in the SKY Q TV group - if this is what you have had installed then it would not effect your landline.

 

Have you changed your broadband   to full fibre (or anything else)  ?

If so was Landline phone discussed ?

 

Switching to full fibre would entail switching a landline to digital VOIP - which may take a short while to be switched - assuming it was included

Hi

    Having cancelled Fibrus, and moved to Sky Q. Plus Sky broadband.

Did not expect number loss, Was disappointed as retaining landline number was mentioned during sale process.

was on the phone 40 minutes to sky being transferred to different departments. Phone battery ran out.

If you dial 17070 on your landline phone it provides your Sky Talk landline number and should confirm Sky as the provider. If it does then call Sky free from your landline by dialling 150. Saying nothing when asked why you're calling sometimes helps in getting into the queue to speak to an agent. 

Be aware that Sky don't guarantee the old number will transfer over.

Hi

had to get in touch with previous provider 

ask for permission to use original number

then close the account.

with a view to re starting account with my original landline number.

It will take about a week.

Having had that number 30 plus years.
