Landline at new Flat cuts out constantly

Above.

 

I got a new landline with a new number last Tuesday, and it seems to cut out a lot when I'm on the phone, I've reported it to my Brother, because the new account's in HIS name because the Aliens in the call centre won't talk to me because they don't understand my accent, but I don't think he's contacted them on the issue yet due to being busy with work and the kids.

 

Is this a known problem?

Depends if their line tests detect a fault. For sure nobody else will do 'owt.

@MrRichAllen1976  If the account is in your brother's name only he can report it as you're not the account holder.

 

There would be no reason why you couldn't setup the account in your name had you done so you could have reported it yourself.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

The reason I had the account set up in his name was because the non UK call centre drones don't understand me.

 

And I don't have the patience to translate my accent to Africans.

We both have Sky landlines, and it's been reported from Mum that their landline keeps cutting out when I ring them from my own landline, however on inspection it turns out the problem's at their end and not mine.

 

My Brother is in charge of my own Sky account, should I get him to ring up and get an Engineer out to either mine or Mum's?

@MrRichAllen1976 I've added your post to the previous thread you started, as it appears to be the same issue. The account owner (your mum?), or someone who Sky knows to be authorised to speak on behalf of the account owner will need to report it to Sky.
