Can I disconnect my landline?
but still have broadband?
I can't remember the last time I used my landline phone!

Re: Disconnecting Landline

Unless you have a fibre optic cable to your home, broadband is delivered via the phone line, so if you disconnect it you'll lose both. You can downgrade to the Pay as you Talk package which has no monthly subscription. You just pay for any calls you make - so no calls, no charge.

Re: Disconnecting Landline

@Charlielouise22  If you  don't use your landline phone and as @Mark39  pointed out you can go to pay as you talk, thus no call charges. Unplugging your phone will not disconnect your broadband, this can be plugged in on its own.

Re: Disconnecting Landline

I have the landline, but use another broadband provider. Am I paying for broadband, because it is a package with Talk telephone?

@MerrymanAre you a different person to @Charlielouise22 as you have tagged on to the bottom of this thread.

You can only have one broadband provider and that normally has talk also attached to this unless you have two of them separate. Which could have been done years ago, but is being phased out.
