Check phone line

Our phone is displaying 'check phone line' 

we've unplugged the micro fibre filter and plugged directly into the wall.

phone works, but no wifi.

 

we've changed the microfibre filter with one we had spare, still doesn't work.

 

help please ☺️

@Adam+TowneDo you know if the spare filter works does this re-connect the broadband?

@Adam+TowneThis is a real odd one never seen that a phone does not work in the microfilter, but works in the line when connected without a microfilter. Trying another microfilter has the same effect.

 

I take this is the master socket of the property that the phone is plugged into and not an extension?

exacty that! Main socket, no extensions.

 

we have no idea where to even start with it, we've covered the basics, unplugged all, plugged all back, resets etc.

@Adam+TowneAre you able to call Sky and report this and let them know that the broadband works in the filter but no phone. But the phone works in the phone socket on its own, but not in the filter and you have also changed the filter and the same thing is going on.
