Sky Talk Landline issues (as stated in the title) there is no dial tone on landline. I can't make or receive calls, although slightly strangely the landline phone does ring when you call it, but you cannot answer the phone it just keeps ringing. I have bought a new phone but the issue persists.
There have neem workmen in the near area I am concerned some damage may have be done or that I need a new socket or line.
WIFI is working well, as are all other sky devices, so no issues with that.

I’ve escalated your post to Sky and their Messaging Team should contact you later.
You need to watch out for a post from one of the team inviting you to a private chat and then you should see a blue/red speech bubble at the bottom of your forum page. You’ll have 48 hours to click on it and start the private chat or it will close automatically. If you fail to respond to a chat reply within 48 hours the chat will again close down automatically even if your issue hasn’t been resolved. Replies from Sky aren’t instant so you’ll need to check the chat thread fairly regularly.
This link explains what happens.

New Sky customer here, and having seemingly similar issues to other people in this thread.
My broadband is working fine, but my landline is completely non-functional (even though all lights on router are green). I bought a new phone because I assumed the previous one had died, but I only got the same result.
I'm now convinced that there must be an issue with the line itself. Something that is out of my control to fix.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@BohemianGroover is your phone plugged into your broadband Hub?

No. Both the power and phone line go direct to the phone.

If you're new to Sky Talk, you may well have internet calls. If one of the green lights on the front panel of your Hub is labelled 'Voice', you need to plug your phone into the socket at the back of the Hub. It won't work from a wall socket.

We have the same kind of issue. Sometimes, the landline works normally but sometimes (in the last 10 days more often than in the past) it stops in the middle of a call. When we try to call back, it is no dial tone and we have to wait until it comes back (usually after about 10-20min). It is extremely upsetting, especially when it is an important or official call. We tried to unplug several times and replaced our phone with another but the problem remains. The internet connection is OK.
What can we do?

Hi, we had a conversation about my landline on Monday 17th June, an Openreach engineer was dispated yesterday on 19th June, I beleive work was undertaken although I did not meet the engineer in person, our internet was affected breifly. However, the landline still suffers the same issue, no dial tone, cannot make outgoing calls and cannot answet the phine when it rings. Could you investigate the status of this as contacting openreach, they have advised to discuss the issue with my provider. Can you assist?
