sky+hd box will not initialise
Message is box is initialising but it remains on this, but it is connectes to the internet

Initialising is done via the satellite dish and not your Internet
What are your Signal Strengths/Qualities? Take a look at the link below:

Signal strength well over 50% and braodband router connections all reading ok
Our other sky+ hd box working ok

Please ignore your router/Internet as this has nothing to do with your issue, Sky boxes were designed before the Internet was mainstream so the boxes work primarily via their dish connection
Try rebooting your Sky box, if this does not help then unscrew both dish input cables swap them around and screw them in again (finger tight)

@Thame the box,is 'initialising' when it can't get a good signal from your satellite dish.

When looking at the signal strength/quality, all four white bars should be at least half way across.
