Re: failure to record scheduled programmes
@Harry07 I'm afraid by posting here you're not contacting Sky, you are only telling other customers.
BTW if you have Sky+HD where you've postd Sky no longer support this legacy setup.
43" Glass TV & Puck Whole Home
Please note I only provide help on the main forums and not via PM, PM's are switched off.
Samsung 75" 4K TV, Sky Glass Gen 2 55", Sky Stream, EE FTTC Broadband, Three 5G Broadband (Backup), Sony 7.1 AV Receiver, Technisat MultiSat receiver.

Re: failure to record scheduled programmes
@Harry07
The Sky Community is a customer led discussion forum where Sky customers are available to help other customers. You are NOT contacting Sky Customer Services by posting here.
As far as I'm aware the Managers are not public facing and are there to help and advise the agents.
Unfortunately Sky+ and Sky+HD are no longer supported so Sky wouldn't send and engineer out if one was required. Someone who has Sky+ may be able to offer some advice or troubleshooting.
NOTE: I only provide help on the forum boards so Direct Messaging is switched off

Re: failure to record scheduled programmes
@Harry07 if you highlight one of the Failed recordings in your Planner and press the i button on your remote, the reason for failure will be shown at the end of the programme synopsis on screen. What does it say?

Has the reset resolved the problem?

Re: failure to record scheduled programmes
If you are thinking of purchasing a replacement box off sites such as eBay then don't. You can no longer pair your viewing card to a box it wasn't paired to in October 2024.

Re: failure to record scheduled programmes
Thanks for the heads up. We have a system that utilised the ariel conection in the sky+ box to distibute the sky tv to 5 different TV locations around the house. They tried to get us to switch to SkyQ but it doesnt have a ariel conection so we'd be restricted to watch on the one TV

Re: failure to record scheduled programmes
@Harry07 you can getaround this, albeit at moderate expense. I've previously used very successfully an HDMI/RF modulator which will take input from the Sky Q box's HDMI output and and send it round your existing coax cable connections. The only requirement is that the connected TVs are HD compatible, as the output from the modulator is of vastly superior HD quality and stereo sound. Much better than the Sky+ RF output which is analogue with mono sound.
