I used to be able to record 2 programmes at the same time . But recently I can only do one and cannot watch live TV at the same time as recording .
what can I do to change this ?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreMost likely because you have no signal on one of the two dish cables. Check by keying Services > Settings > Signal : the white part of all 4 bars should be at least half way across.
If two of the bars are blue, there's no signal from your dish. Turn the box off at the plug and check that both cables are still securely connected at the back of the box. Check the signal again after turning back on. If there's no change, you'll need to call Sky to book an engineer to investigate (if you're connected to a communal dish, speak to your landlord or building management people).

If you have two cables going from the dish to your Sky box then NO, you will need to check the cables, try swapping them over at the box end and see if that fixes it

Do you have cables connected to both Dish Input 1 and Dish Input 2 sockets?
