I have received a new sky card as the other was not connecting with the new box. The set up won't install and I have a on screen message of no satellite signal

You may have to call out a local satellite installer, unless you already have Sky Protect insurance, to check/fix your system, another option is to move to Sky Q, as during the move all issues will be resolved as part of the install, there is also the option of Sky Glass or Sky Stream, if you want to move away from satellite TV and use the Internet

Tell us more about the new box. If this is a replacement Sky+HD Box that you've acquired from somewhere, I'm afraid it won't work as it's no longer possible to pair a card to it.

It was a replacement box issued by sky due to having no satellite signal. The box arrived in the post, no engineer was offered. Box still didn't work and sky told me they had to issue a replacement card. The card has arrived and still won't work.

Therefore I've moved your post to the Sky Q forum.

hi @Jasmeena
do you have your own dish or is it connected to a communal system ?
If the latter then it is likely you need to change the LNB type
This only applies if you are connected to a communal system
You will need to check/change the LNB type to SCR - this is in an engineer's menu
To access it :
press Home
Scroll to Settings - but do not press enter/select at this point
Press 0 0 1 in sequence followed by the Enter/ select button
you should now get the engineer's menu
Select the LNB Type & set to SCR if necessary
After changing the LNB type power down your SKY Q box and restart it for the change to come into effect

Still no change. Nothing wrong with the communal service either.
